How to Unlock

To unlock your Blackberry Handset(s) we need two pieces of information.

1 - Your Handset IMEI.

2 - The Handset MEP code.

You have 2 ways to Read the MEP code

one is by using the MEP code Reader via USB cable the other method is to use the engineering Menu Method

Both Methods can be found below.

MEP CODE READER

Download Blackberry MEP code Reader Here. Please Ensure you have installed the Blackberry Drivers first.

The easiest way to install the Drivers Correctly is to install the Desktop Manager Software. This can be found here.

Alternatively you can download the usb driver by itself here.

Blackberry Engineering Menu

Enable engineering mode on your Blackberry device to access hidden Blackberry management functions for a given time frame for 1 to 30 days.

How to Access this menu!

1) Determine the handset type then follow the instructions below.

Full QWERTY keyboard BlackBerry:
Press the keys Alt+Shift+H at the same time

SurePress Touchscreen BlackBerry:
Hold the escape/back button and tap the top left, top right, top left, and top right corners of the screen sequentially

SureType BlackBerry Pearl keyboard:
Press the keys Alt+EACE at the same time

2) Enter the required information below the example picture.

   
  * Please note if your app version has Brackets they MUST
be included with a space eg 4.3.9.127 (202)
Uptime:    * Please note only enter the digit format into this box eg 943
Key Duration:    * Please note this is the duration of time this screen will be visible on your device.
To exit set date forward of days selected and then re-enter menu as above. Then change date back

3) Once you have checked all details are correct you can now enter _____________ (your unique key) into this screen. You will NOT see the input of your data and you are required to press the ALT key before entering each NUMBER.

If you entered the details correct above and unique code into the phone then you should see a screen like the following.

From this Menu you are now able to find your MEP code which you require in order to request your unlock code.

5) Select OS Engineering screens

6) Select Device Info

7) scroll to the very bottom of the text on this screen and you should see MEP CODE (this is approx 6th line from the bottom

eg. MEP-07723-003

8) Send the Handset Imei together with the MEP CODE to us either via email 333789@orange.net or via the Code Request Login

9) we will calculate the unlock code for you to enable you to unlock your Handset.

How to enter the unlock code

Please Follow these instructions carefully

1. Insert any sim card

2. Turn off all of the wireless connections

3. Go to Options

4. Select Advanced Options

5. Select SIM Card

6. Hit menu select show keyboard (touch screen blackberry only)

7. Enter MEP2 or MEPP2 (To check lock status MEPD)

8. Now it will say enter network mep(2) code

9. Enter the code which we sent to you followed by OK/enter

10. Handset unlocked
